Last updated: 25 May 2026. DRAFT — pending legal review.
1. The deal
By signing up for Effortless Desk, your organisation ("you") agrees to these terms. We provide the software; you pay us; we don't mess with your data. Simple.
2. Who we are
Effortless Desk is the trading name of [LEGAL ENTITY TBC], registered at [ADDRESS TBC], United Kingdom. Contact: hello@effortlessdesk.com.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone's using your account without permission.
4. Your data
You own all the data you put into Effortless Desk. We process it on your behalf to provide the service, as described in our privacy notice and the Data Processing Agreement (available on request for paid plans).
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Effortless Desk to:
- Store data unlawfully or without proper basis
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk email
- Attempt to access other organisations' data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service
- Anything illegal or that breaks someone else's rights
We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these.
6. Pricing & payment
Prices are listed at /pricing and may change with 30 days notice. Billing is monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. UK VAT may apply.
14-day free trial. After the trial, your card is charged unless you cancel. Cancel any time — your subscription runs until the end of the paid period.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription. Your data stays accessible for 30 days after cancellation, then it's permanently deleted. You can export it before then via Settings → Compliance.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but we don't guarantee uptime in writing on Starter or Growth plans. Enterprise customers get a documented SLA.
9. Liability
Effortless Desk is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by UK law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We don't cover indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Changes to terms
We'll email billing contacts 30 days before any material change. Continued use after the change date means you accept.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales.
